The situation.
E-mobility has specific planning needs: range, charger availability, charging time windows. Existing navigation tools only covered this in fragments.
Volkswagen wanted an app that resolves exactly this planning intuitively and reliably for EV drivers.
What we built.
We built the e-Route app for iOS and Android: route planning with integrated charging-point logic, range simulation and charging-time planning in one view.
Data integration across multiple charging networks, ongoing maintenance of the charger database, clear UX for the real travel case. Rolled out in several European markets.
