AI at the edge of the network — manufacturing, vehicles, signage. Where the cloud is too far away.

AI close to the source.
Edge AI is the umbrella term for AI processing that happens at the edge of the network — on devices, gateways, cameras, industrial controllers — instead of centrally in the cloud. On-device AI is a special case.
Typical benefits: low latency (real-time reactions), reduced bandwidth, higher resilience, privacy.
Applications.
Vision models in manufacturing, acoustic models in vehicles, anomaly detection in sensor data, adaptive signage at the POS. Always where the network isn’t reliable or fast enough — or where the data shouldn’t leave in the first place.
