With #missionmacher, we have developed an app for IKK Classic and Fisch im Wasser GmbH that gets trainees moving, raises awareness of healthy eating and promotes regeneration. Interactive, scientifically based and tailored to the everyday lives of young people.

Founded in 2015, the company develops innovative health programs that increase well-being and promote healthy lifestyles. With an interdisciplinary team and the scientific expertise of Prof. Dr. Ingo Froböse (German Sport University Cologne), Fisch im Wasser focuses on practical, well-founded concepts.
IKK Classic – health insurance company with a focus on prevention
IKK Classic supports over 3 million insured persons and attaches great importance to prevention. With #missionmacherentstand, an innovative offer especially for young trainees.
Challenge / Problem
High Health Needs Among Young Trainees
Studies show that almost half of Germany’s 1.32 million trainees experience psychological complaints, while over 56% report physical health issues.
A Digital Platform as the Key to Better Health
To ensure the content was flexible, scalable, and accessible at all times, an app was needed as the central solution.
Practical Solutions Instead of Theory
Trainees need a program that integrates seamlessly into their everyday lives: simple, intuitive, and motivating.
Interactive instead of passive
To reach young people, the program needed to offer more than traditional guides. The goal was to create a tool that conveys knowledge playfully and encourages active participation.
Solution / Procedure
The App as the Central Hub
The #missionmacher app was developed specifically for vocational schools. With an individual login, trainees gain direct access to all content — anytime and anywhere.
UX & UI for young target groups
The design was implemented in line with the corporate identity guidelines, while focusing on youth-oriented usability. Interactive elements, modern navigation, and gamification features make the app both easy and motivating to use.
Powerful backend for flexible content
We developed a powerful backend with an administrative interface.
Through a custom WordPress plugin, content such as quiz questions, challenges, and media library entries can be easily managed and updated at any time, without the need for external developers.
Integration of the Froböse formula
The content is based on scientifically sound principles of exercise, nutrition, and regeneration.
Quizzes, daily plans, and challenges make the material interactive and relevant to everyday life.
Gamified learning instead of dry theory
The app uses media libraries, videos, quizzes, and challenges to present health topics in an engaging and easy-to-understand way.
Results
High Acceptance Among Trainees
The interactive, gamified presentation of the content received an extremely positive response: young people felt seen, understood, and engaged.
Health knowledge that sticks
Instead of theory, the trainees receive practical tips that they can integrate directly into their everyday lives.
Efficient content maintenance
Thanks to the backend, those responsible can upload content independently. This keeps the app up-to-date and relevant at all times.
