Complex standards, simply explained – via app
We have developed a mobile application for Armacell GmbH that supports HVAC installers directly on the construction site. With an interactive configurator, offline function and standard-compliant algorithms, they can determine the correct insulation thickness according to DIN and EnEV in seconds – reliably, comprehensibly and professionally presented.

Armacell GmbH – leading manufacturer of insulation materials
Armacell, based in Münster, is an internationally active company in the field of technical insulation. As an innovation leader, Armacell develops solutions for energy efficiency and safety in building services engineering. The company was looking for a digital solution for the rapid calculation of insulation thicknesses in order to relieve the burden on its own sales department and provide practical support for HVAC installers.
Challenge / Problem
Fast and standard-compliant calculation
Until now, HVAC installers had to look up the right insulation layer manually. A digital, immediately available solution was needed.

The app should not only be functional, but also position Armacell as a modern partner with practical services.

The complex standards (EnEV, DIN 1988:200) should be prepared in such a way that they can be understood and used within seconds.

We programmed a native app for iOS and Android that also works offline – perfect for construction sites without a stable internet connection.
Algorithmics & Configurator
The technical specifications were converted into technical algorithms and integrated into an interactive configurator. With just a few entries, users immediately receive standard-compliant results.
Content & service integration
In addition to the calculations, the app offers contact forms that users can use to request further information or advice directly.
